VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at

lhadley@trinitycreston.org and let her know the date of the service that you watched.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Council Meeting: Council will meet this week at 6:00 p.m. on Wed., January 20. They will meet in the fellowship hall.

Quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be next Sunday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall in Creston.

Livestreaming is up and running again. Access it at www.trinitycreston.org

Services via You Tube: If you prefer to watch the service later you may access it through You Tube by going to www.youtube.com and in the search box type Trinity Lutheran Church Creston, IA. You’ll see a list of the latest services. Click on the one you want to watch. Or, you may access it on the church website. In the lefthand menu click on Recorded Services. Then click on the little arrow next to it and you will see a list of dates for services. Click on the one you want to watch.

Lutheran Witness Subscriptions: It’s that time of year again for gathering names for renewals and new subscriptions to the Lutheran Witness magazine. If you currently subscribe, Linda our office assistant needs to know whether you want to renew or not. If you don’t currently subscribe but would like to start a new subscription, please let Linda know your name and address. You may phone her at 782-5095 or email information to her at

lhadley@trinitycreston.org. The cost for a subscription is $22.68 and that price includes the Iowa District News Insert. There’s an offering envelope in your box labeled Lutheran Witness Subscription. Place the subscription fee in the envelope and put it in the offering plate. Deadline for turning in subscriptions is Sunday, February 14.

2020 Offering Statements are printed and ready to be picked up. You will find your statement in your church mailbox.

One of our local area mission projects is the

Iowa LC Clinic in Creston. The annual Diaper Drive will be held January 17-February 28. Please refer to the insert in today’s bulletin for information about this project. If it’s more convenient for you to drop packs of diapers off at the church you may place them in the basket below the mailboxes that’s also for baby bundle items. Someone will see that they get delivered to the clinic. Any items from the Mt. Ayr location may be sent to Creston with Pastor in the transfer box.
