For Transfiguration Sunday on February 14, 2021
2 Kings 2:1-12 or Exodus 34:29-35
2 Corinthians 3:12-18; 4:1-6
2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, 3 and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one[a] on earth could bleach them. 4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. 5 And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi,[b] it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 6 For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified. 7 And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son;[c] listen to him.” 8 And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only.
9 And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.
He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.
Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.
On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.
If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.
Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at
firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know the date of the service that you watched.
Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.
Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.
Holy Communion in Creston: When it is time for Holy Communion, those who prefer individual cups will be ushered to commune first. After they are finished, then those who prefer common cup will come up, still observing the spacing of social distancing.
Valentine Dinner: TODAY is the Valentine Dinner hosted by the Trinity Youth Group. Dinner will be served at 1:00 for those who made reservations to dine in or for those who signed up to pick up a carry-out meal.
Lutheran Witness Subscriptions: TODAY is the deadline to sign up for a subscription to the Lutheran Witness magazine. If you do not currently subscribe and would like to do so, see Linda in the office or sign up on the sheet found on the front counter in the office. Those who are renewing subscriptions have already been contacted and are all set on the renewal list. Cost of a subscription is $22.68/year and payable via the church offerings.
THE UPSTAIRS BATHROOM (Creston) is close to reality!
This exciting project is now in the fund-raising phase. The architect concept drawing and pledge sheet is available from the ushers.
The new bathroom will be fully handicap accessible and compliant. Located just to the right of the mailboxes in the Narthex, outside of the existing building it will not reduce the size of the Narthex.
The Voter’s ask for your support of this project.
If you agree, please use the “Pledge Sheet” to show your support. All pledges will be held confidential
If sufficient support is shown by April 1, 2021 the Voter’s will proceed with the construction this summer.
Diaper Drive: The diaper drive for the Lc Clinic continues through the end of February. Today’s bulletin insert provides more information.
