For Easter Sunday on April 4, 2021
I Corinthians 5:1-11
1 When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” 8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.
He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.
Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.
On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.
If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.
Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at
email@example.com and let her know the date of the service that you watched.
Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.
Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.
New Portals of Prayer for April-June are available in the back of the church as you leave the service today.
Used Portals of Prayer can be placed in the box located below the mailboxes in the Narthex. These will be distributed free next summer by the LLL at the Iowa State Fair. There is a big demand for these. Thank you.
Easter Breakfast: After the Divine Service in Creston a breakfast will be served by the Trinity Youth Group in the fellowship hall. A freewill donations basket will be available and the funds will be used toward their 2022 trip to the National Youth Gathering in Houston, TX as well as other future gatherings and activities in the future.
Easter Egg Hunt: Weather permitting, after the Easter Breakfast, an Easter Egg Hunt will be held for the children. The Board of Education is sponsoring this event.
New Bible Study! We will be diving into the book of Hebrews starting Tuesday April 6th at 6:30pm in Mount Ayr and Sunday April 11th at 8:00am in Creston. Learn about Angels, Christ as High Priest, Perseverance, Living in Faith, Encouragement, and the New Covenant God has made with his people. In Hebrews, God gives us hope and courage in our discipleship so we “will not grow weary and lose heart.” He directs us to Jesus “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross” on our behalf. Please join us.
Elders will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7 in the fellowship hall in Creston.
