LIFE TOGETHER

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we

believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Offerings: For now, the offerings will continue to be gathered in the back of the church and will be brought forward during the offertory.

Children’s Bulletins that go along with today’s Sunday of the Church Year are available in a basket by the back pew (Creston).

Christian Education Information is available in the back of the church (CR) and has been emailed. We have great opportunities for all ages to grow in knowledge of our Lord and Savior.

Christian Care Fund: The balance as of 4/23/22 is $1971.00

Organists: Trinity is looking for additional people to assist in playing organ or keyboard for services. If you are interested or know of someone speak to Phil Wardenburg or phone him at 641-202-1611.

Bulletin Board: If we don’t have a current photo of you posted on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall please email one to lhadley @trinitycreston.org or drop a photo off at the church office to be copied and returned to you.

Baptism: Today, we rejoice and give thanks for William Ray, infant son of Mike and Alexis Swanson, who will be claimed by Jesus in the waters of Holy Baptism.

LC Clinic Hannah Shady will be speaking at the end of each service this morning to share information about the mission of the Life Care Clinic and their ministry to women and men who face an unplanned pregnancy.

Flowers: If you provided Easter flowers in Creston and did not take them home on Easter, you may do so today. Your name will be found on the plant(s) you provided.

Rachel Circle will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 in the fellowship hall in Creston. All women are invited to join them.

Annual Fundraising Banquet for LC Clinic: Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Supertel Conference Center in Creston with seating beginning at 6:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by tomorrow, May 2. If you are interested in attending, a copy of the invitation is available in the narthex for you to pick up. The address for the clinic is:

Trinity Preschool is currently enrolling for the 2022-23 school year.

Preschool Endowment Fund

By the Grace of God, we are establishing an endowment fund to be a permanent source of support for our preschool. As you know, we started Trinity Preschool over 35 years ago. This has been an important outreach in the Creston community.

To help celebrate 35 years of sharing the Gospel with our preschool families, please consider donating $35.00 per adult and $0.35 per child. These funds will go towards the growth of our preschool endowment fund. To make a donation towards this endowment fund, make your check payable to “Trinity” and be sure to mark the envelope “Preschool Endowment Fund.”

We ask that you consider being a part of this venture. If you have questions contact Bill Magers or Mike Lang. Thank You!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As many of you are aware, placement was held this week in Saint Louis and Fort Wayne. I was blessed to be able to attend in person and am pleased to report the following new placements in Iowa District West:

Pastoral Candidates

Ezra Grabau (Saint Louis) called to Faith, Sioux City

Christopher Walters (Fort Wayne) called as associate pastor to Christ, Bouton and Zion, Ogden

Aaron Wendorff (Fort Wayne) called to Immanuel, Osceola and Our Savior, Leon

Vicar

Alex Smith (Saint Louis) placed at St. Paul, Carroll

Please keep these men, their families and the congregations they have been assigned in your prayers as plans are made for their vicarages, ordinations and installations.

Peace and Joy in our Risen Savior,

Rev. Dr. Steven D. Turner, President, Iowa District West
