For The Seventh Sunday of Easter on May 16, 2021

Acts 12:1-26

I John 5:9-15

John 17:11b-19

11b Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.[a] 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them[b] in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself,[c] that they also may be sanctified[d] in truth.

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at and let her know the date of the service that you watched.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Handy Helpers will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18. If you have questions, contact Sharon Eklund.

All boards will meet at 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday, May 19, in the fellowship hall (CR).

Church Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday, May 19 in the fellowship hall (CR).

Pentecost Sunday is next Sunday, May 23.

Holy Communion will be in both services for this festival Sunday.

BATHROOM PROJECT On April 25, 2021 the Voter’s Assembly approved the next step for the Upstairs Bathroom Project. Counting pledges received, cash donations received, the Building Fund and various memorial funds we have sufficient funds ($62,000) to proceed with the project.

The Voter’s authorized the architect to develop plans and specifications so that we can request bids from

contractors. You may now begin to fulfill your pledges. Thank you.

A Graduation Open House Reception for Jeremy Rutz will be held on Saturday, May 22 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in Trinity’s fellowship hall in Creston. All are invited to attend. Jeremy will be graduating from Creston High School on May 23.
