For The Sixth Sunday of Easter on May 9, 2021

Acts 10:34-48

I John 5:1-8

John 15:9-17

9As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

LIFE TOGETHER

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at

lhadley@trinitycreston.org and let her know the date of the service that you watched.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Found: A silver hoop earring. If you have lost one, check the little table in the narthex. (Creston)

THANK YOUS

Thank you for all the prayers, cards, and care you have given me and my family upon the passing of my brother. We all really appreciate your support and love during this difficult time.

In Christ,

Julie & Pastor Rutz and family

Thank you so much for all the cards and well wishes for my birthday. I’m blessed to serve at such a wonderful and loving congregation.

Pastor Rutz

MISSIONS

2021 Baby Bottle Boomerang : The Life Care Clinic in Creston is one of our on-going mission projects. From May 9-June 20 the annual Baby Bottle Boomerang project will be held. If you are able to help with this project, please pick up a baby bottle on your way out of church today. Fill the bottle with what you are able to share and return it on Father’s Day, June 20. The proceeds will be used for items in the Baby Boutique at the clinic.
