For Third Sunday after Pentecost on June 13, 2021

Ezekiel 37:1-14 Acts 2:1-21 John 15:26-27; 16:4b-15

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. 12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

LIFE TOGETHER

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Ser-

vice online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at

lhadley@trinitycreston.org and let her know the date of the service that you watched.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Offerings: For now, the offerings will continue to be gathered in the back of the church and will be brought forward during the offertory.

Return to the Communion Rail: Today we will return to kneeling at the rail for Holy Communion.

Welcome: We welcome to our church family, Greg & Shannon Booth and daughters Maci and Baylor. Shannon, Maci, and Baylor were baptized on June 5 at Trinity’s location in Creston.

Trinity’s Annual Fish Fry THIS EVENING, Sunday, June 13 at 5:00 p.m. in Trinity Creston’s fellowship hall. Bring a potluck side dish to share. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Preschool Board Meeting for June has been rescheduled. They will now be meeting this Wednesday, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

VBS meeting, decorating, and set-up in the fellowship hall in Creston at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23. All are welcome to volunteer and assist with VBS. Come and help decorate and set up.

Vacation Bible School will be held on Saturday, June 26 from 9:30 a.m. –3:00 p.m. in Creston. All children ages 3-12 are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided. There are invitation/registration forms available in the back of the church. If you have children of your own or know children to invite, please take one or more sheets to share.

The theme is “God’s Wonder Lab.” A science lab is full of fascinating things that help explain how things are possible. In Jesus’ ministry, He did things that cannot be explained. He turned water into wine, walked on water, and His greatest miracle of all was dying on the cross and rising from the dead for our salvation. Discover that Jesus does the impossible for us at CPH’s 2021 VBS, God’s Wonder Lab!

Outdoor Service on Sunday, June 27 10:00 a.m. in Creston No service will be held in Mt. Ayr that day. Bring your lawn chairs. Invite a friend. A potluck meal will follow the service.

lhadley@trinitycreston.org

The outdoor service will not be able to be livestreamed.
