LIFE TOGETHER
Preschool Christmas Program: TODAY, Sunday, December 11, at 2:00 pm, the preschool Christmas program will be held in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to join them as they celebrate Jesus’ birthday.
Naomi Circle will meet at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, for their annual Christmas breakfast at the Windrow. All ladies are invited to join us for a Christmas devotion and fellowship.
The Next Wednesday night Advent service will be held at 7:00 p.m. only in Creston on December 14.
Meals for Confirmation kids: Meals will be provided for the confirmation class kids between their class time and the Advent services. If you are able to help provide food for these meals please see the sign up sheet on the table in the narthex. The final meal will be on Dec. 14.
Bible Study: During December, Pastor is teaching a Bible study titled: “Explaining All the Scary Stuff in Revelation”. The class is taught on Sundays in Creston after the Divine Service, in the fellowship hall and on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays (Dec. 6 & 20) at 6:30 at the church in Mt. Ayr. All are welcome to attend this study at either location.
Painter Wanted: A utility shed has been built and placed southwest of the parsonage. This will serve as storage for the Rutz family. The shed has been given a primer coat and a final coat of paint is still needed. If you are interested, you are welcome to paint yet this fall, weather permitting. Or you can wait and paint it in the spring. Thank you from the Trustees.
Found: A pair of glasses and a case were found December 7 in the upper church parking lot. If you are missing a pair, check with us in the office.
IMPORTANT SUNDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE INFORMATION
At the December 7th elder's meeting it was decided to begin a Sunday service schedule change beginning Sunday, January 8, 2017. This will be a trial run through the end of May. A decision will be made by the voter's assembly at the April voter's meeting whether to keep the new schedule or
whether to go back to the old schedule.
The schedule will be as follows:
8:00 a.m. Bible Study and Sunday School in Creston
9:00 a.m. Divine Service in Creston
10:45 a.m. Divine Service in Mt. Ayr
There will still be fellowship time after the Divine Service in Creston.
Remember that this will begin on
Sunday, January 8, 2017.
MISSIONS
A very big thank you for all the walkers involved in the Creston and Mt. Ayr lighted Christmas parades. We handed out right at 750 Trinity Church and Preschool brochures and a candy cane. There was also a schedule of the Advent and Christmas services included. We especially thank Mike Sickels for driving his pickup with the lighted nativity scene in both parades. All efforts are very much appreciated.
From the Mission Board.
The large LWML Mite Box will be displayed in the back of the sanctuary during the month of December.
Your offerings will help various mission projects of the LWML.
