LIFE TOGETHER

Lost and Found Items:   On the table in the narthex, you will find a lost and found box with some winter items in it.   Please see if any of them belong to you.    At the end of March, leftover items will be washed up and donated to those in need.

 

F.L.O.C.K. will meet on Wednesday, March 15 beginning with supper at 5:30.  

 

Suppers for Confirmation Kids:   During Lent, the board of education will sponsor suppers for the confirmation  kids beginning at 5:30.  If you are able to help in providing food for these meals, please check the sign-up sheet  that is posted on the table in the narthex.  Thanks to all who have already signed up to bring some food.   There are still a few needed items left.    If you have questions, contact Julie Lang.

 

Sunday morning Bible Class:   For the next several weeks, Pastor Rutz will be leading a study on the topic of Christian prayer.    All are welcome  Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. 

 

The Tuesday evening Bible study in Mt. Ayr will be about the topic of the Mormons.    They meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 pm.

Record Keeping: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card.   Cards are found in the pew rack in front of you.  On the Sundays when we have the sacrament of Holy Communion,  please list the names of  those who are communing on the back side of the card.   Thank you.

        

MISSIONS

 

Christian Care Fund:   As of March 6, 2017, the balance in the Christian Care Fund is $930.88.

 

 

LWML Mite Box:    The large mite box will be on a table in the back of the church throughout the month of March.   The mites will be used to fund a variety of mission projects that are supported by the work of the LWML.      LWML stands for Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. 

 

Spring Family Potluck and Game Night:  The Mission Board invites you to a potluck and game night on Sunday, March 26 in the fellowship hall here in Creston.  Members of the SWCC campus ministry will be our guests.  Pulled pork sandwiches, beverages and table service will be provided.  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.   There will be family fun and fellowship for all ages with games and PRIZES.  We will have bingo, bunko, corn hole and a few other games on hand.  If you have another game you like to play, please feel free to bring it along.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex, so we know how many to plan for.  Thank you.

 From the Outdoor Cross Committee

  We thank you all for your support for the crosses to be placed in front of the church.  We exceeded our goal of $6000.  The excess will be put into the fund for the new nativity set for our church.  We thank you all for your prayers and support.
