From the Outdoor Cross Committee

We thank you all for your support for the crosses to be placed in front of the church. We exceeded our goal of $6000. The excess will be put into the fund for the new nativity set for our church. We thank you all for your prayers and support.

LIFE TOGETHER

Lost and Found Items: On the table in the narthex, you will find a lost and found box with some winter items in it. Please see if any of them belong to you. At the end of March, leftover items will be washed up and donated to those in need.

Lifelight and Early Risers Bible study will resume on March 6-7.

Rachel Circle will meet on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall. Please note that this is a change in location from what is on the March calendar. Nichole Hanson and Maggie Dory will be co-hosts. Please join us for Bible study and fellowship.

Naomi Circle will meet this Wednesday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for Bible Study and fellowship. Our topic will be “ The Wondrous Cross” This study is found on page 22 of the Winter 2016 Quarterly. Please join us for Bible study and fellowship .

Confirmation Class/FLOCK Time Change: During Lent confirmation class will begin at 5:45 p.m. to allow time for class before church begins. FLOCK will also begin at 5:45 on March 15.

Suppers for Confirmation Kids: Beginning March 8, during Lent, the board of education will sponsor suppers for the confirmation kids beginning at 5:30. If you are able to help in providing food for these meals, please check the sign-up sheet that is posted on the table in the narthex. If you have questions, contact Julie Lang.

Sunday morning Bible Class: For the next several weeks, Pastor Rutz will be leading a study on the topic of Christian prayer. All are welcome Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

The Tuesday evening Bible study in Mt. Ayr will be about the topic of the Mormons. They meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 pm.

MISSIONS

Spring Family Potluck and Game Night: The Mission Board invites you to a potluck and game night on Sunday, March 26 in the fellowship hall here in Creston. Members of the SWCC campus ministry will be our guests. Pulled pork sandwiches, beverages and table service will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. There will be family fun and fellowship for all ages with games and PRIZES. We will have bingo, bunko, corn hole and a few other games on hand. If you have another game you like to play, please feel free to bring it along. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex, so we know how many to plan for. Thank you.

Trinity Preschool is now registering students for the 2017-2018 school year. If you know any families who have preschool age children and are looking for a preschool please tell them about Trinity. LWML Mite Box: The large mite box will be on a table in the back of the church throughout the month of March. The mites will be used to fund a variety of mission projects that are supported by the work of the LWML. LWML stands for Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
