THE FIRST SUNDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS (JANUARY 1, 2012)

Witness

The Trinity Lutheran Preschool Board of Directors thanks the congregation for donating to provide Story Bibles for our preschool children in both classes. We appreciate that the congregation wants to help expose young children to God's story. They were passed out at the preschool Christmas Program. The families started to look through them right after receiving them. Thank you so much for caring about our preschool children and their families. Preschool Board, Anita, Becky, Deb, Dory, Jim, Linda, Melody, Mike, and Pat along with teachers, Joy and Brenda and Pastor Watt.

Issues Etc. reviews the new book "Everyday a Friday" by Joel Osteen: Joel Osteen is a true phenomenon in pop-American Christianity. He is pastor of the largest mega-church in the US, host of a weekly television show seen world-wide, author of several best-selling books and a frequent guest on secular media. Building Healthy Families: New Year’s resolutions. We have all made them at one time or another. We have all broken them, too. One thing that is never broken, however, is our relationship with Christ. This is solid ground on which every counselor at LFS stands when working with families, no matter what the circumstance or situation. If you know someone who needs to hear these words of comfort, have them contact us. We are here to help! Lutheran Family Service of Iowa (515)251-4900
