The following thank you was received from  the family of Tyler Miller, who died recently.   The members of the Miller family are good friends of Sharon Nonneman.

Thank you so much for your donation which was much appreciated.  Most of all, thank you for your continuing support of prayers and encouragement that has been felt all year long.   Thank you.   God bless.

             From Vickie Miller and family

EARLY RISERS  meet every Tuesday, at 6:30 a.m.  We are currently reading and discussing the prophet, Isaiah.  You are welcome to join us for God’s Word, coffee and doughnuts either regularly or occasionally. There is no charge.

LifeLight Bible Study will begin tomorrow,  February 6, at 6:30 p.m. and repeats on Tuesday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m.  We will study of the book of John, Part one.  Dr. Luther wrote this about the book of John:  “Therefore the evangelist [John] is a master above all the other evangelists, for he treats of this doctrine of Christ’s divinity and His humanity persistently and diligently.  He joins these two natures together.  When Christ becomes man, He speaks to us, performs miracles, and dies according to His humanity.  And then His divinity is also established with plain words.”  For information and study materials, contact Mike or Janette Lang.

Naomi Circle will meet this Wednesday, February 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for Bible Study and fellowship.  Our topic will be “ More Precious than Silver”  This study is found on page 20 of the Winter 2016 Quarterly.  Please join us for Bible study and fellowship .

Valentine Dinner:  Trinity youth  will be hosting a Valentine Dinner on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall in Creston.   Lasagna will be the main entrée.   Cost is $15.00 per person.  This is a fundraiser for the youth group.     A sign up sheet is on the table in the narthex.

Lutheran Witness Subscriptions:   If you would like to begin a new subscription to the Lutheran Witness, it’s not too late.   There’s a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex where you can list your name and address.  The cost for a year’s subscription is $22.67.     There’s an envelope in with your offering envelopes labeled Lutheran Witness.   You may use that envelope and place it in the offering plate.  Sunday, February 12 is the deadline for turning in any orders.   After that date, the  renewals and new orders will be sent  in.

Christian Care:  As of February 1, the balance in the Christian Care fund is $690.88.

“Look for the proposal for outdoor crosses.”
