Information from the Joint Committee

The Joint Committee for the combining of Trinity Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church send out a mailing to every member of the congregation. Additional copies of the letter are available on the narthex table. The letter provided details for you to consider as we approach a vote on October 20th. Please read and prayerfully consider the proposal.

An in depth Question and Answer session is scheduled for October 6th following worship in the Fellowship Hall at Trinity. Please take the time to bring your questions to the committee.

A special reformation service will be held on Nov 3rd. Guest Preacher Nabil Nour has been arranged for this event. Watch following announcements in the bulletin.

Christmas Cards have arrived! They are located in the narthex on the card table. Cost of the cards is $5.00 a box.

LifeLight Bible study Information: The Monday evening group now meets from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Tuesday afternoon group now meets from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We are currently studying the book of Genesis and are scheduled to meet through November 5. Each week the same material is presented both Monday and Tuesday. You may visit a session or join us at any time. Mike Lang is the class leader. For more information talk to Mike or Pastor Watt.

Naomi Circle October meeting will be held Wednesday October 9th at 1:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Our topic will be “Faces of the Savior”, found on page 20 of the Summer Quarterly. All women are invited to attend.

October is LWML Mission month. The LWML will be taking your donations every in October. Thank you.

Annual Altar Guild meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary, with Pastor Watt. All members are expected to attend. If you are interested in serving the Lord in this way please feel free to attend and learn more about our activities. There is no obligation to become a member. Please talk to Pastor Watt or Janette Lang (782-7922) if you have questions

Rachel Circle will be at Linda Hadley home; 1396 Osage St, Creston, IA. All women are invited to attend.

The Question and Answer Session for our connection to Mount Ayr will be on October 6th at 11:30am. Please plan attend and bring your questions!

The Special Voter's meeting for the Ballot for our connection to First Lutheran, Mount Ayr will be held October 20 at 11:30am. Please plan to attend.

There will be a Trinity Teacher's Meeting October 13th at 12pm following bible class. All teachers are encouraged to attend. Please bring a sack lunch.

We will now be serving a light lunch at all voters meetings as requested by members of the voter's assembly. Please contact the congregational president to volunteer to be the host.
