Life Together

We thank the elders for leading our services today. Next Sunday the services with holy communion will be led by Rev. Stephen King.

On August 4th, at the Elder's meeting, a topic was brought up, discussed and voted on for Trinity to purchase a washer/dryer for the parsonage. The appliances will remain the property of Trinity. A fund has been set up for any member to contribute to this fund for purchasing these items. A donation will continue until proper funds have been received. Please prayerfully consider donating to this fund. Special envelopes were handed out last Sunday and will continue until enough funding has been received to purchase the washer/dryer. The Elders thank you for your participation. If anyone has a question or concern you may speak to any Elder.

There will be a short LWML meeting TODAY, immediately following the service, in the sanctuary, to finalize plans for the LWML Sunday on October 2. All women from both Creston and Mt. Ayr are invited to attend.

Bloodmobile Helpers: The bloodmobile will be at Creston’s Fellowship Hall tomorrow (Aug. 22). They are in need of three volunteers to help in the kitchen from 3:00-6:00 p.m. If you are interested in helping, see the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex.

Mark Sunday, September 25 on your calendar for an afternoon of miniature golf. The Mt. Ayr members invite the Creston members to join them at 3:00 for fun and fellowship. It will be located at 2572 210th St., Afton. More details will be shared closer to that date.

YOU ARE INVITED to participate in a 60-90 minute AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:30 pm given by Greater Regional Emergency Personnel. The AED training will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Trinity Preschool has been awarded an AED device that would be available to everyone in a time of need. Thie AED is similar to many of the AEDs in town and the training is highly recommended for EVERYONE to receive. We hope to see you there!

We wish God’s blessings upon all students, their parents, teachers, paras, administration, school secretaries, bus drivers, custodians, cooks, nurses, etc. as they begin a new school year. This also means that it is almost time for confirmation classes to begin. With Pastor’s move and getting settled, the exact beginning date and time for confirmation classes will be announced as soon as schedules are set.

Installation Service: Pastor Rutz will be installed as our new pastor at Trinity on Sunday, September 11, at 5:00 p.m. in Creston. All are invited to attend this special service and to welcome Pastor and his family to Trinity.

Plans for a meal to follow the service are being finalized. More information will be shared soon.
