Building Healthy Families: Paul records in the Book of Acts: “Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta. The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.” This is National Random Acts of Kindness Week. How might you give witness to the faith that is in you by doing something “unusually kind”, in Jesus name, for someone else this week? Shovel your neighbor’s snow, pay for the order of the car behind you in the drive through, send flowers to someone who lives alone…be creative and have fun! Lutheran Family Service of Iowa (515) 251-4900

Haiti: One Year: Orphan Grain Train is requesting blankets, quilts and other bedding to help with the great need that still remains in Haiti and orphanages Kyrganzstan. Please bring your extras to the church or ship them to Orphan Grain Train Warehouse, 601 W. Phillip Ave. Norfolk, NE 68701. For more information please contact any member of the Board of Missions or Waunita Watt. Waunita@WattsWhat.net or (605)579-0006.

Life Thoughts for the Church Year. The “love your neighbor” thing is not good enough for Jesus. “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). Loving and praying for enemies and persecutors may not turn them into neighbors, but it sure makes you a good one—“sons of your Father who is in heaven” (6:45). That makes Jesus—who loved you while you were His enemy—your brother! Even enemies of Christ and enemies of life need to be loved and prayed for.

Life Together

Check your church mailboxes. They have been re-labeled. If you don't have a box please let pastor Watt know.

Rachel Circle will meet at the home of Cindy Nelson on Tuesday, March 1. If you would like to carpool, meet at the church around 6:45pm.

Join us for Game Day, February 27, 11:30am-(when the fun is done!). This is not a potluck. Pizza and drinks will be provided through Thrivant funds to help sponsor this time of fellowship. The Board of Education will bring dessert. We encourage the entire family to attend and bring the fun! Some board games will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite!
