Thanksgiving

Offering

It is about that time! Every year Trinity’s Thanksgiving offering is put into our Christian Care Fund. These funds are then disbursed when a member of Trinity submits a request for assistance for anyone in the community (members and non-members). The requestor then becomes the giver of this blessing to those in need. Offering Mercy to the hurting.

Please prayerfully consider your offering this year.

All information is strictly confidential.

bi-be-lot?

[bib-loh; Fr. beebuh-loh]

A small object of curiosity, beauty or rarity.Come join us in painting these bi-be-lot’s that were made at the National Youth Gathering for our Lenten services this year. Painting begins at 4:00 pm this afternoon and will be followed by pizza and drinks for all those who help. If you can dip a paint brush in paint you have all the skills needed for helping with this project. Come enjoy fun, fellowship and food. (Three things every Lutheran Loves!)

Thank you

Thanks to the members of Trinity for all the get well and well wishing cards. Also the offer to help in anyway and for the phone calls. The many words of Christian encouragement were a real comfort to us.

We ask that you join us in giving thanks for the recovery. God is Good!

In Christian Love

Mercy

“It has always been evident to us, scientifically, morally, and logically, that life begins at conception. For the last word on the matter, we consult our Creator’s guidebook. The Psalmist wrote, ‘For You formed my inward parts; you wove me in my mother’s womb’ (Psalm 139:13 NASBÒ). He then noted, ‘Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were written all the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them’ (Psalm 139:16 NASBÒ).” Patriot Post – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org

Building Healthy Families: Some who are in a troubled marriage believe that things will be better if they divorce. Research and the experience of many divorced people do not support that assumption. Instead of assuming divorce is the only answer, check out HelpingMarriagesWork.com for hope, inspiration, and ideas that do work. Lutheran Family Service of Iowa

Witness

“It therefore becomes our indispensable Duty, not only to acknowledge, in general with the rest of Mankind, our dependence on the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, but as a People peculiarly favored, to testify our Gratitude to the Author of all our Mercies, in the most solemn and public manner.” Former New Hampshire Governor, and first president of the New Hampshire Bible Society, John Langdon – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org

FAITH’n’FAMILY: Have you listened yet on your Lutheran Radio Station Worldwide KFUO? Faith’n’Family is a weekday, 11am-12pm live, call-in show with guests and a different family issue each week. This week, join us as we look into the history behind Luther’s Small Catechism, for whom it was intended, and how can it be used as a handbook for family prayer. Send in your family questions to family@kfuo.org or call at 314.996.1519.

PROVIDING ARTILLERY FOR THE CHURCH MILITANT ON THE FRONT LINES... Issues, Etc. is a radio talk show produced by Lutheran Public Radio in Collinsville, IL and hosted by LCMS Pastor Todd Wilken.
