Post date: May 14, 2020 4:47:40 PM

For the Sixth Sunday of Easter on May 17, 2020

Acts 17:16-31

I Peter 3:13-22

John 14:15-21

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

LIFE TOGETHER

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: During this period of social distancing, you will notice that the attendance cards are missing from the pew racks in Creston. The attending elder and/or ushers will be recording the attendance.

Hymnals: Another thing that has been done during this period of social distancing is the hymnals have been removed from the pew racks. So, the full service with melodies has been printed out in the bulletins.

Livestreamed and You Tube Services: Our services will continue to be available via our church website and will be livestreamed and also available, once downloaded, via You Tube.

Weekly Bulletins, Announcements, and Sermons will continue to be available on the church website.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment.

Boards will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, in the fellowship hall in Creston.

Church Council will meet following the board meetings, at 6:00 p.m.

Preschool Graduation Parade: Trinity Preschool will be having a drive through graduation parade, for the students who will be going to kindergarten in the fall, on Wednesday, May 20 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot. Cars will enter the top parking lot off of Spencer St., drive down the hill, and exit the north parking lot on to the highway.

MISSIONS

Lc Clinic’s Baby Bottle Boomerang Fundraiser: Last Sunday was the beginning of the annual Lc Clinic’s Baby Bottle Boomerang Fundraiser. It will run until June 17. The annual Baby Bottle Boomerang Fundraiser is held to benefit the Baby Boutique at Creston’s Lc Clinic. It’s easy to participate. Simply pick up an empty baby bottle at church. Fill the baby bottle with loose pocket change, dollar bills or a check. On June 21, Father’s Day, return the bottle to the church. If you would still like to participate, some bottles and information sheets are still available in the narthex.
