For The Last Sunday of the Church Year on November 22, 2020

Ezekiel 34:11-16, 20-24 I Corinthians 15:20-28

Matthew 25:31-46 The Final Judgment

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

LIFE TOGETHER

VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.

He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after the 9:00 service or prior to the 11:00 service for a time of fellowship.

Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.

On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card.

If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.

Attendance via Livestreamed and You Tube Services: During this pandemic period, if you watch the Divine Service online and wish to have your attendance recorded, please call Linda at the church office 782-5095 or email her at

lhadley@trinitycreston.org and let her know the date of the service that you watched.

Private Communion Times: If you would like to take holy communion privately, please call Pastor to set up an appointment. Common cup is also available to families or small groups upon request.

Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.

Church T-shirts: Those who ordered the new Trinity t-shirts may pick them up in the fellowship hall. A few extra shirts were printed and are also available for sale in the fellowship hall.

Thanksgiving Eve Service will be at 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday, November 25, in Creston. Our Thanksgiving offerings will be added to the Christian Care Fund to help those in need in our area communities. The current balance in the Christian Care fund is $1616.

Service Change for Next Sunday, November 29: November has five Sundays. The monthly calendar for November says that we will have Holy Communion on the 29th. A change has been made. We will use the Order of Matins that day and will not have Holy Communion in Creston or Mt. Ayr. Please note this change.

Advent Services will be on Wednesday Dec. 2, 9, and 16 at 6:00 p.m. in Creston.

Hanging of the Greens in Creston will be Sunday, December 6, 2020 following the Divine Service. We need YOUR help to prepare our church for the Advent and Christmas season. We are usually done in less than two hours. Thank you in advance.

Removal of the Greens in Creston will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 following the Divine Service.

Thank You: Some of the quilts that the Handy Helpers group made this year were donated to East Union’s ASPIRE. The following thank you was received:

Handy Helpers,

Just wanted to send a big Thank You to your quilting group for thinking of us again this year. Our families always appreciate a new blanket during the holidays.

God bless you and happy holidays.
