Stewardship: 1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.” God’s grace is His undeserved mercy toward us. And what do we have that is not a gift flowing from God’s grace? He means for us to use all these gifts in service toward one another. And chief among the ways we serve one another is to support the Church’s work of bringing more of God’s grace to more of God’s people. And that’s what it means to be a steward!

Good Afternoon Western Iowa, The Omaha Storm Chasers, Triple-A baseball team for the Kansas City Royals, will be having our 2014 Lutheran Night on the Monday, June 23rd game between the Omaha Storm Chasers and the El Paso Chihuahuas. Mercy

June 1 “Jesus is the One who defeated every enemy that overwhelms people. He is the success of God for fallen sinners, and His name Jesus (which means ‘He will save’) is most certainly the name of hope, the name above all names. This is why, even now that He is risen from the grave and is ascended, it is impressive that Jesus sits at the right hand of God. Here, God’s ‘right-hand Man’ who is also true God prays for us and brings our needs before God. He is God’s strength, God’s skill, God’s Deliverer who now gives fallen sinners victory.” Rev. Robert Mayes, pastor at Immanuel and Zion St. John Lutheran Churches, Beemer and Wisner, Nebraska – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org

Gangway to Galilee VBS will take us on and around the Sea of Galilee with five accounts of Jesus ministry there. By Grace through faith, Jesus, God’s own Son our Savior, calls us, teaches us, keeps us safe, saves us, and provides all we need now and forever. That’s amazing grace. All those who wish to volunteer or help with decorating please contact Julie Lang, Hannah Shady or Megan Shutt. Thank you. A work night is being held June 4th at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome. There are many things to do for all those who volunteer.
