You'll hear hymns like "Thy Strong Word," "The Church's One Foundation," "Lord, Thee I Love with All My Heart," "God's Own Child I Gladly Say It," "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less" and more. You can also listen on mobile devices like an iPhone, iPad and an Android phone.

Why do we open up the Baptismal Font during Holy Communion? Simple, to remind you of your Baptism. Through it you were made God's child. You were marked with "the sign of the cross both upon your forehead and upon your heart, to mark you as one redeemed by Christ the Crucified." If you wish you can dip your fingers in the water and remember your baptism by retracing the cross on your forehead.

Life Quote: “One of the major signs of decadence in the Roman Empire was that its unwanted babies were exposed, that is, abandoned to die. Can we claim that Western society is any less decadent because it consigns its unwanted babies to the hospital incinerator instead of the local rubbish dump? Reverence for human life is an indispensable characteristic of a humane and civilized society.” John Stott, English Christian leader and Anglican cleric – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org

Please remember to bring a few items for the Creston food bank next week. The mission board has designate the third Sunday of every month as 'Caring for Your Neighbor' Sunday.

The Christian Care Fund has received more donations for tornado victims. Please submit your request to help someone you know who has suffered a tornado loss. Find the forms on the narthex table or talk to pastor Watt.

Stewardship This Week: 2 Corinthians 12:1-10: Being an exceptional steward of all of life and life’s resources is a challenge that very few, if any, people can achieve on their own. But St. Paul reminds us that he could rejoice in weaknesses and other difficulties because when he was weak by Christ’s power he was strong. By Christ’s power we are also equipped to become better stewards (managers) of all that God entrusts to us.
