For Weekly Announcements

You may email notes that need to go in the weekly announcements to lhadley@trinitycreston.org or you may fill out a Bulletin Announcements note and place it on the secretary’s desk. Those notes can be found on the table in the narthex and on the counter in the secretary’s office. Please turn those requests in by noon on Wednesdays.

Life Together

After the service this morning, everyone is invited to join together in the Fellowship Hall for a reception in honor of Logan Shady’s confirmation.

We thank Mr. David Paul Britton for sharing his gift of music with us this morning. As you leave the church this morning, a free will offering basket will be in the back of the church. This offering will be used to further his music ministry. We pray that he will have safe travels as he returns home to Michigan.

A thank you card was received from the family of Don Campbell thanking the members of Trinity for all their prayers and support at the time of Don’s death. It is posted on the bulletin board outside the secretary’s office.

The Early Risers Bible Study group will not meet during the months of May, June, July, or August. They will resume studies in September.

The congregation is invited to a graduation open house for Reagan Brown. It will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 1:00-4:00. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Trinity Lutheran Church, Creston. An announcement is posted on the bulletin board outside the secretary’s office.

On May 15 we will honor our members who will be graduating this year. A reception will be held after the service in Creston in the Fellowship Hall. Reagan Brown will be graduating from East Union High School and Ashley Bargstadt will be graduating from Creston High School. If we have omitted any graduates please let us know.

Lutheran Family Day at Adventureland Park will be on Wednesday, June 22. Tickets are available at Adventureland for $26.00 (cash only) per person. Age 3 and under are free. For details contact: Dean Rothchild at 319-373-2112.

Mercy

So far this year, the Christian Care Fund has helped three families with financial emergencies. The checking account balance for this fund is now below $100.00. Any help you can give for this ongoing project is appreciated. You may use one of your Designated Gift envelopes and some extra envelopes are available on the table in the narthex. Jot down on the envelope that your gift is for the Christian Care Fund.

Witness

The LWML will have an ongoing mission project for the Baby Bundles which are given to the Life Care Clinic. Currently we are not asking for donations of items. This is just a reminder that you might keep in mind if you should happen to be out and about and run across any of these items in newborn sizes: receiving blankets, onesies, sleepers, diapers, booties/socks, caps. Thank you for your very generous giving in recent weeks. If you have a question or concern please feel free to talk with Carla Roghair or Maggie Dory.
