LifeLight will begin Monday, February 18. We will be studying 1st & 2nd Samuel. Classes will be held Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. The same lesson will be presented by Mike Lang each day. Please join us as we study God working to fulfill the promise of a Savior through King David. For information see Mike or Janette Lang or Pastor Watt.

Why do we open up the Baptismal Font during Holy Communion? Simple, to remind you of your Baptism. Through it you were made God's child. You were marked with "the sign of the cross both upon your forhead and upon your heart, to mark you as one redeemed by Christ the Crucified." If you wish you can dip your fingers in the water and remember your baptism by retracing the cross on your forehead.

Building Healthy Families: Do you remember as a child being told to “act your age”? Isn’t it great to know that when we get old, we don’t have to do that anymore? Even though getting older is frequently accompanied by a multitude of aches, pains, and worries, don’t forget to take time to play. Someone once said, “The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball.” What will you do to “play” and enjoy the life God has given you this week? Lutheran Family Service of Iowa (515) 251-4900

Fresh deer meat in 2 lb. pkgs will be available for anyone. Every Thursday beginning December 6, 4-6 pm at the First Presbyterian Church (Sponsored by FPC Deacon’s).

Life Quote January 27 “The Father of Life says, ‘Choose Life. Your worth is not determined by what you can no longer do, but rather by how much you are worth in My sight. I have sent My Son for you.’ … The worth of life to the true God of Life is greater than can be measured by human standards and is seen distinctly on a cross and in an empty tomb. Each of us is reminded by the Word of the true God of Life, ‘My times are in your hand’ (Psalm 31:15a).” Pastor Paul Sajban, The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Windom, Minnesota – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org/

There will be up pie auction in the Trinity Fellowship Hall on January 31, 2013 for Rheanna Miller. Please watch for more information to come.
