  • Stewardship: Matthew 25:30 “And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness.” Why did the worthless servant act the way he did? Because of what he believed about the Master. He didn’t trust or love the Master – and so he did not demonstrate love and trust in his actions, but rather hate and mistrust. It’s the same with us, but in reverse: since we know our Lord God to be faithful and kind, we desire to serve Him and render faithful service with what He has given us.
  • Thank you - Donna and I thank you for your prayers in connection with my spinal surgery on Oct. 14. By God's grace and healing I am able on Sunday, November 16th to resume my pastoral service at Saint Paul's in Bowen, IL. Rev. Larry D. Troxel
  • The Quarterly Voter's Meeting has been moved from October 19 to November 23. All boards and committees need to have their budget requests to the Treasurer no later than November 16.

If you are interested in signing up for something to go with Polish Sauages and Hamburgers, please see the sign up sheet in the narthex or email wwatt@trinitycreston.org with your contributions to the meal.

Mercy

  • A reminder! If you give pastor Watt a prayer request during the Sunday service and you want the prayer for multiple Sundays please ALSO fill out a Prayer Request sheet (found on the narthex table) and place it in the "prayer requests" mail box.
  • Building Healthy Families: Martin Luther, who himself struggled with depression, said it well over 500 ago: “Solitude produces melancholy. When we are alone the worst and saddest things come to mind. We reflect in detail upon all sorts of evils. And if we have encountered adversity in our lives, we dwell upon it as much as possible, magnify it, think that no one is so unhappy as we are, and imagine the worse possible consequences.” Don’t give in - get out, keep a positive attitude and stay active. LFS counselors are also here to help when needed – just call! Lutheran Family Service; 7177 Hickman Rd, Ste 3; Des Moines, IA 50322; 515-251-4900.
  • November 16 “Adopted children, like all children, are a blessing from God, and we are privileged indeed to be granted the honor of raising one of His precious kids.” Solid Answers/Bible Gateway – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org
