Life Together

A Pastoral Pre-Call Information Gathering sheet was mailed to your home. You should have received it the first week in May. Today is the deadline for turning in the sheet. There’s a box on the counter in the office where you can place your completed form. If, for some reason, you did not receive the mailing and still want to fill one out, there are some extras on the table in the narthex. Your input is valued in this process.

Graduation Reception

After the service this morning , you are invited to join together in the Fellowship Hall to honor Reagan Brown and Ashley Bargstadt who will be graduating from high school next week.

Adult Bible Class will resume on Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the Fellowship Hall following the Divine Service. We will begin a five week study of: “How We Got the Bible”, a video study featuring Dr. Paul L. Maier. The class will be led by Mike Lang.

Iowa District West will be holding a Joy in Ministry Banquet at the Boulders Conference Center in Denison, IA on Sunday, June 5. For more information see the flyer posted on the door by the Easter cross.

An open house reception will be held on Saturday, June 25 from 2-4 pm in the Fellowship Hall for Martin Herzberg and family. Martin will be ordained into the ministry the next day at St. John’s in Clarinda. More information about that will be shared as plans become finalized.

Mercy

So far this year, the Christian Care Fund has helped three families with financial emergencies. The checking account balance for this fund is now below $100.00. Any help you can give for this ongoing project is appreciated.

Cans for Cancer is an ongoing project where you can bring your empty pop cans to the church. The money from can redemption will help fund some special projects that Trinity will sponsor at the June 17 Relay for Life in Creston.

Witness

Please keep Sunday, July 3 open on your calendars for hearing Pastor Stephen Oliver preach here at Trinity. He will also speak during the Bible Class hour and there will be a meal afterwards. It has been some years since he has been here to speak. He would prefer to tay in someone’s home as he did the last time he was here. If anyone would be wiling to open up their home for a night (His wife might be with him, but no children) please talk with any Mission Board member. We do not sponsor Pastor Oliver but we do pray for him and his family in our weekly prayers. You will be hearing more about this event as the time gets a little closer. That weekend will be a very busy one since it is over the 4th, but we hope you will all want to hear Pastor Oliver speak and tell us of his mission work in Taiwan. From the Mission Board
