Life Together

A Pastoral Pre-Call Information Gathering sheet has been mailed to your home. You should be receiving it this week. If for some reason you don’t receive one the first week of May email the church office at (lhadley@trinitycreston.org) or contact one of the elders and we’ll get another one for you. Your input is valued. All forms need to be returned to the church office by Sunday, May 15. Just place your completed form in the box that will be on the counter in the office.

If you have the name of a pastor that you would like to nominate for consideration to be on a pastoral call list , you are invited to pick up a yellow nomination form from the table in the narthex. Completed forms may be placed in the same box with the Pastoral Information Gathering sheet that will be in the office. Nomination forms need to be returned by Sunday, May 15.

The congregation is invited to a graduation open house for Reagan Brown. It will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 1:00-4:00. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Trinity Lutheran Church, Creston. An announcement is posted on the bulletin board outside the secretary’s office.

On May 15 we will honor our members who will be graduating this year. A reception will be held after the service in Creston in the Fellowship Hall. Reagan Brown will be graduating from East Union High School and Ashley Bargstadt will be graduating from Creston High School. If we have omitted any graduates please let us know.

Mercy

So far this year, the Christian Care Fund has helped three families with financial emergencies. The checking account balance for this fund is now below $100.00. Any help you can give for this ongoing project is appreciated. You may use one of your Designated Gift envelopes and some extra envelopes are available on the table in the narthex. Jot down on the envelope that your gift is for the Christian Care Fund.

Witness

The LWML will have an ongoing mission project for the Baby Bundles which are given to the Life Care Clinic. Currently we are not asking for donations of items. This is just a reminder that you might keep in mind if you should happen to be out and about and run across any of these items in newborn sizes: receiving blankets, onesies, sleepers, diapers, booties/socks, caps. Thank you for your very generous giving in recent weeks. If you have a question or concern please feel free to talk with Carla Roghair or Maggie Dory.

Thank you to all who helped in any way to make the LC Clinic fundraiser from last Saturday a very big success. There about 30 theme baskets and a multitude of baked items. With the baskets, baked items and the lunch we took in about $1700.00. David Paul Britton’s concert was a great addition to the afternoon and so inspiring for our Sunday service. The free will offering gathered for him totaled $188.00. He was very grateful for everyone’s hospitality towards him. Thank you all again for helping to support the Life Care Clinic and please continue to keep the clinic in your prayers.
