Life Together

The Mount Ayr location will decorate the sanctuary and fellowship hall for the Advent Season Sunday morning, November 22. Please join us for worship at 8:00 a.m. , brunch at 9:00 a.m. followed by decorating. We typically complete the task by 11:00 a.m. A signup sheet for the brunch is available at the Mount Ayr church or you may email Vicki (vsickels@windstream.net).

Newly elected church officers will be installed in the service on January 3, 2016.

This is a reminder that there are several colors and sizes of Trinity tee shirts that are available to purchase for $10.00. They are located on a bookshelf in the fellowship hall and an envelope is right there too for your convenience of your payment. Thank you.

Handy Helpers quilting meet this Tuesday and the third Tuesday of every month thru April.

Help Pastor Watt improve his preaching. Fill out a Sermon Review. Forms are found in the pew rack or ask an Usher.

My apologies for having the "Preschool Board" on the "Elected Officers" list last Sunday. The Preschool Board listed was out of date, and the members are not elected or appointed by the congregation. Pastor Watt.

No office hours / Bible Study in Mount Ayr this coming week (Nov 17), due to the Watt-Carter Wedding.

Stewardship Thought for Hebrews 10:14: “For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” Our Lord Jesus has provided the one offering for sin. What we offer to the Lord is not a sacrifice for sin; we cannot buy our way into heaven with our money, works, or effort. Rather, what we give to the Lord's work in the Church is a thank offering, a sign of our dependency on God and all He has given us.

The Harvest (The Iowa District West Magazine) is now available for your smartphone or tablet via the Issuu app. Download the app via your device’s app store and sign-up for a free account. You will then search by either publisher name (Iowa District West) or magazine title (The Harvest). Follow us via the app and read The Harvest on your mobile device. This app will also send you push notifications when a new issue is uploaded. The Harvest is also available on our web site with a new easy to read format. http://idwlcms.org/publications.php

Visitors: We do collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, we do not expect you to give an offering while you are our guest.

A reminder! If you give pastor Watt a prayer request during the Sunday service and you want the prayer for multiple Sundays please ALSO fill out a Prayer Request sheet (found on the narthex table) and place it in the "prayer requests" mail box.

Mercy

Christian Care: Trinity has established a Christian Care fund to help people in our communities who are in need. Our Thanksgiving offering will be used to fund this account (use your Thanksgiving envelope). You may also give to the fund at any time simply use one of the Christian Care Fund envelopes on the narthex table. Any member of Trinity may request a gift for anyone in need. Find forms for requests on the Narthex table.
