Life Together

We thank Dr. Stephen Oliver for leading our service this morning. A free-will offering will be collected in the back of the church as you leave this morning to help further his ministry.

Next Sunday the services will be led by elders.

Adult Bible Class will continue today in the Fellowship Hall. Dr. Oliver will share more with us about his mission work in Taiwan.

After Bible Class there will be a potluck “picnic” in the fellowship hall. Hotdogs, hamburgers, and ice cream will be provided. Other salads/desserts that you have brought will be shared. All are invited to stay for lunch.

CALL MEETING: Next Sunday, at 2:00 pm there will be a call meeting to call a new pastor. We will meet in the fellowship hall.

Parsonage: Help is needed to spruce up the parsonage. There is a list of what needs done in each room. Please check off the items that have been completed. Contact Phil Wardenburg 641-202-1611 to set up a time that works for you. Everyone is encouraged to find a time that fits your schedule. Thanks for your help!

RAGBRAI will be in Creston on Monday, July 25. Creston needs volunteers to help with information, campgrounds, beverage garden and many other areas. If you have even an hour to share in helping your community on July 24, 25, or 26 please call one of the volunteer committee members to sign up: Annette Rice at 340-2996, Gary Bucklin at 202-2163 or Warren Woods at 202-2285.

Training/orientation sessions for volunteers will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at 5:30.p.m. and on Thursday, July 14 at 7:00 p.m. Volunteers need only attend one session to learn about this fun opportunity. Thanks in advance for your support and assistance.

A group of Lutheran bicyclists from Iowa will be staying overnight in our fellowship hall on Monday, July 25.

Mark Sunday, September 25 on your calendar for an afternoon of miniature golf. The Mt. Ayr members invite the Creston members to join them at 3:00 for fun and fellowship. It will be located at 2572 210th St., Afton. More details will be shared closer to that date.

Mercy
