The Fourth Sunday of Easter
Announcements: May 11, 2025
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
The Fourth Sunday of Easter on May 11, 2025
Acts 20:1-35
Revelation 7:9-17
John 10:22-30
22 At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. 24 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me,[a] is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

LIFE TOGETHER
VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.
He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after this morning’s service.
Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.
On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card. Hand it to an usher as you go up for communion.
If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.
Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.
Children in the Divine Service Sheets are available from the basket in the back of the church. Parents are encouraged to read these to/with their children. From the Library Committee:
A big thank you to everyone for all the donations whether financial or donated books. In accordance with our Mission Statements, any books donated need to be Christian based to aid in the education and growth of our faith.
Missing: We are missing two green handled mops from the janitor’s closet, one large round wicker basket from the kitchen and the plastic coffee basket from the big Bunn coffee maker. If you have borrowed these items, please return as soon as possible. Thank you.
Building Healthy Families: Parents, grandparents and pew buddies! Did you know that even from the womb a child comes to know his or her mother’s voice, nurturing their bond, providing comfort, and building trust? As we celebrate Mother’s Day today, we also mark Good Shepherd Sunday on the church calendar. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, says “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Thank you, Lord for the gift of mothers who reflect the comfort, security, and love of our Good Shepherd, Jesus and for the incredible gift of hearing his voice in our churches and homes! Happy Mother’s Day!
