Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
Trinity Sunday on June 15, 2025
Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31 Acts 2:14a, 22-36
John 8:49-59
49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. 50 Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” 52 The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’ 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?” 54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’[a] 55 But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”[b] 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” 59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

LIFE TOGETHER
VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.
He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after this morning’s service.
Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.
On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card. Hand it to an usher as you go up for communion.
If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.
Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.
Children in the Divine Service Sheets are available from the basket in the back of the church. Parents are encouraged to read these to/with their children. Each week will have a short explanation of a different part of the church service or about something found in the church. They are other way to aid parents in teaching their children.
Invitation: Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Corning, will be having their congregation’s 70th Anniversary Celebration this coming Saturday, June 21. Reception 3:00-5:00 and Divine Service at 5:00. All are invited to attend. The address is 800 17th St., Corning.

Thank You: I would like to thank my first ever Trinity Lutheran Preschool Garage Sale committee members. Thanks to everyone for supporting this fundraiser. Lots of helping hands made it a huge success. From Mrs. Brown

Building Healthy Families: It is a challenging time to be a parent, perhaps especially a father. Our culture takes every opportunity to malign fathers, and popular media often goes out of its way to portray them as undependable, immature, and ineffective. Yet an endless stream of research (not to mention God’s Word and our own life experience) clearly identifies the vital role of fathers in the lives of their children. Fathers, don’t give up! Take heart and persevere – you are not alone! “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) Happy Father’s Day- You are appreciated and so greatly loved!
