The Seventh Sunday of Easter
Announcements: June 1, 2025
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
The Seventh Sunday of Easter on June 1, 2025
Acts 1:12-26
Revelation 22:1-20
John 17:20-26
20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

LIFE TOGETHER
VISITORS: We are so glad you joined us today. We collect offerings during our worship services. While we believe this is a chance for each believer to be a good steward of the gifts they have received from God, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering while you are our guest. If you would like to learn more about the Lord’s ministry here at Trinity please call Pastor Rutz.
He would love to get acquainted and visit at a time that is convenient for you. You are also invited to join members in the fellowship hall after this morning’s service.
Attendance Cards: Visitors and members are asked to fill out an attendance card and to list names of each family member in attendance. Turn in your card at the back of the church at the end of the service.
On Sundays when there is Holy Communion please list the names of those who will be communing on the Holy Communion registration side of the card. Hand it to an usher as you go up for communion.
If you have moved or your phone number or email address have changed, please note any changes on the attendance card so that we can update our records in the office.
Weekly bulletins, announcements, and sermons continue to be available on the church website.
Children in the Divine Service Sheets are available from the basket in the back of the church. Parents are encouraged to read these to/with their children. Each week will have a short explanation of a different part of the church service or about something found in the church. They are other way to aid parents in teaching their children.
Life Care Clinic’s Baby Bottle Boomerang is running from May 11-June 15. If you are able to participate, pick up a baby bottle from the tub in the narthex. Return it with your donation on Father’s Day. (June 15).
The Trinity apparel store is open. Place your order by June 30 at 9 AM. See Alexis Swanson if you have any questions. Order online at either of these links.

Trinity Lutheran Preschool Garage Sale and Bake Sale will be held this Saturday, June 7 from 8am-2PM in Trinity’s fellowship hall. If you did not get a green bulletin insert last Sunday, there are some extras on the table in the narthex. You should have also received an email with all the links for signing up to provide things. There are also some bright green flyers on the table in the narthex. If you would like to take one/some to share with others or to post at your place of employment, feel free to do so.
LWML There will be an LWML meeting June 8th in the sanctuary following the worship service. All ladies who are members of Trinity are members of LWML. Please consider attending this meeting to help make decisions on our group moving forward. Thank you!
Naomi Circle will meet at 1:30 next week on Wednesday, June 11. They will finish the lesson titled “Divine Times” p.19 and will start “Free to Serve” p. 20. Both lessons are in the Spring Quarterly.
VBS will be held Tues.-Fri., June 17-20 from 9:00-11:30. Lots of helpers are still needed. Please see the sign up sheet in the narthex and see if you are able to help out with one of the needs. This year’s theme is: Epic Australian Adventure: An Unforgettable Journey with Jesus.
An outdoor service will follow on June 22 (weather permitting). Following the outdoor service that day will be a potluck brunch. Bring a favorite food to share.
Flyers with VBS enrollment information are available on the table in the narthex. Feel free to pick some up to share with other families who might like to be invited.
Building Healthy Families: Sum, sum, summertime – it’s coming! What’s your plan for summer free time for you and your family? Wait - what, no plan?? Without a plan, we’re more likely to migrate to our favorite individual activities or spot in front of the television or computer screen. Consider challenging your family this week to make a “summer bucket list,” brainstorming a list of interesting things to do, perhaps with a set of parameters like, “it can’t include screen time, and it must be within a 2-hour drive of our home.” Make up your own rules and let the brainstorming ideas begin! Be sure to add a Bible story or Scripture reading plan for the summer to your list. Reading the Bible with mom and dad instead of endless days of playing computer games alone or with friends will create powerful memories for your children, and what an impact it will have on their lives!
