You are invited to attend a concert of Southern Gospel music TODAY, Sunday, October 16, at 4:00 pm in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. This will be a benefit for the LC Clinic. A freewill offering will be received to benefit the clinic. Two groups will be performing. They are Ambassadors of Grace and Reconciled.

Janitorial Job Opening: Trinity Lutheran Church trustees are looing for a person to fill the janitorial position. For more information contact Phil Wardenburg or Byron Bilderback. Maggie Dory will be in charge of ordering janitorial and Fellowship Hall supplies. If you see something we are needing, let Maggie know.

LIFELIGHT RESCHEDULED: The class scheduled for Tuesday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. has been RESCHEDULED and will meet on Monday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. The lesson will be Romans, Part Two, Session 6.

F.L.O.C.K (Fellowship & Love Offered to Christ’s Kids) will begin on Wednesday, October 19 at 6pm. This is for kids in grades K-4th. It is the same time as confirmation for families who have more than one child attending. We will learn more about God’s love through Bible lessons, crafts, music, snack & games. We encourage kids to bring a friend if they would like. Hope to see lots of kids on October 19! If you are interested in providing the snack, please see Julie Lang or Tammy Burgmaier.

The annual LWML Fall Rally is scheduled for Saturday, October 22 at St. Paul, Clarinda, Iowa. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with Eileen Westrum being the guest speaker. She has been on 17+ mission trips and will be sharing her experiences. A salad luncheon will follow. The cost for registration is $6.00, payable when you arrive at the rally.

Thrivent Financial will be holding their annual meeting on Sunday, October 23, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 12:00 p.m. A free catered dinner will be provided. Please RSVP to Becky Hagan (641-782-2442) by Wednesday, October 19, if you plan to attend.

Preschool’s Harvest Celebration will be on Sunday, October 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Reformation Sunday: On Sunday, October 30, which is Reformation Sunday, there will be special music during the offering. The hymn selected is LSB 655 “Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Your Word.” Any men or women who would like to sing as a special choir for this festival service are encouraged to meet to rehearse right after the services on Oct. 16 and 23, in the front of the church, by the keyboard. We will make a joyful noise to the Lord!

The Quarterly Voter’s Meeting will be on Sunday, October 30 at 1:00 in the fellowship hall. Some copies of items that will be part of the agenda for the meeting are available on the table in the narthex. Included are copies of the draft of the July 24 voter’s meeting minutes for you to review before the meeting, copies of proposed Article XIII which would include the preschool in Trinity’s bylaws, and the slate of candidates for officers and boards for 2017. Election of new officers and board members will be held at the meeting. A list of those candidates will also be posted on the bulletin board outside Pastor’s office.

The IDW SW Circuit Reformation Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Clarinda. The guest preacher is District 2nd Vice President Paul Egger who serves as pastor of St. John, Galva. The service will be followed by a fellowship soup supper hosted by youth who are planning to attend a 2017 Higher Things Conference in Bozeman, MT. All are encouraged to join us for worship with Holy Communion and Christian fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ from all across southwest Iowa.
