TRUTH-CENTERED MISSION OUTREACH...Issues, Etc. is a radio talk show hosted by LCMS Pastor Todd Wilken and produced by Lutheran Public Radio. This week's topics include: Angels, The Teachings & Practices of Mormonism, Environmentalism as Religion, The Fall of Jericho and more. You can listen to what you want when you want at www.issuesetc.org.

Why do we open up the Baptismal Font during Holy Communion? Simple, to remind you of your Baptism. Through it you were made God's child. You were marked with "the sign of the cross both upon your forehead and upon your heart, to mark you as one redeemed by Christ the Crucified." If you wish you can dip your fingers in the water and remember your baptism by retracing the cross on your forehead.

Life Quote: “All your sins—original sin that condemns even the seemingly innocent baby, sins of sex outside of marriage, the sin of having an abortion, the sin of leaving women in the helplessness and despair that leads to abortion (that’s the sin of all of us who haven’t done everything we could to help!)—all our sins were forgiven when Jesus reached out His arms for you on the cross. You are forgiven!” Carl C. Fickenschner II, associate professor of pastoral ministry and missions and dean of certification and pastoral education, Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org #2
