  • We want to thank everyone at Trinity and especially Pastor Watt for the many many prayers offered for Ethan Bulgrin during his short life which began on March 1, 2013 and ended on December 29, 2014. The family cannot express enough how much the prayers and concerns meant during all of this time and especially during the very difficult day when the Lord chose little Ethan to come and live with Him in heaven. Thank again for so much care and support. Dave and Maggie Dory
  • Stewardship: Mark 1:14-15 Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." To repent means to turn away from sins and our former way of thinking and turn toward belief in God and His Gospel of grace and mercy. The whole Christian life is one of repentance and faith – where is God calling you to repent today? How is He calling you to deeper faith?

Mercy

  • Building Healthy Families: Do you remember as a child being told to “act your age”? Isn’t it great to know that when we get old, we don’t have to do that anymore? Even though getting older is frequently accompanied by a multitude of aches, pains, and worries, don’t forget to take time to play. Someone once said, “The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball.” What will you do to “play” and enjoy the life God has given you this week? Lutheran Family Service; 7177 Hickman Rd, Ste 3; Des Moines, IA 50322; 515-251-4900.
  • January 25 Life Quote: “Roe is a radical decision and a legally indefensible one. But what really makes Roe unbearably wrong is its consequences. The result of Roe and Doe has been the legally authorized killing of nearly sixty million Americans since 1973. Roe v. Wade authorized unrestricted private violence against human life on an almost unimaginable scale, and did so, falsely, in the name of the Constitution.” Michael Stokes Paulsen, University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life • www.lutheransforlife.org
