Naomi Circle will meet this Wednesday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for Bible study and fellowship. Our topic will be “Our Changeless God.” This study is found on page 20 of the Spring 2016 Quarterly. Please join us.

Confirmation Questioning will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. You are invited to come and listen as Logan Shady shares his faith through Luther’s Small Catechism.

On Sunday, April 24, we will not be having a service at the Mt. Ayr location. We will join together for one Divine Service in Creston as it will be Confirmation Sunday. That day we will also have special music by Mr. David Paul Britton. Please note this change in scheduling.

Confirmation Sunday will be during the Divine Service April 24 in Creston. Logan Shady will be confirmed that day and will celebrate Holy Communion with the congregation. Everyone is invited to join Logan in the Fellowship Hall for a reception following the service. Light refreshments will be served. Logan is our only confirmand this year.

The fundraiser that we'll be having for the Life Care Clinic is set for Saturday, April 23rd here at Trinity in the fellowship hall. Hours are 10-2 with a light lunch from 11:00 - 12:30. This will be a free will offering. A silent auction from 10-2 will consist of baked items and theme baskets, which we would encourage all of you to be a part of. Examples of some of the themes could be: garden/yard; fishing; fitness; scrapbook; camping; sewing; beauty; wine; Christian; grilling; kids; sports. The dollar amount for items to put into the baskets is $20.00-$25.00. We would encourage our members to take this back to your co-workers and get them excited about sponsoring a basket. There are many other themes that could be considered. Let's make this a really fun event with lots of baskets. Other churches will be involved too. David Paul Britton will be with us during this event to grace us with his beautiful Christian music and share the love of Jesus. Mr. Britton will be with us on Sunday, the 24th to provide music during the service as well. If there are any questions please talk to any member of the Mission Board. The monies taken in will go to the LC Clinic general fund.

There is a sign up sheet on the table in the narthex regarding the LC Clinic fundraiser on Saturday, April 23rd. There is a need for people to help serve the light lunch and to help keep the kitchen area and fellowship hall picked up during this event which is from 10-2. One doesn't have to commit to the full 4 hours. We hope you are still thinking of a theme basket to put together. So far we have a beauty basket, kitchen basket and wine basket. We also need baked items to sell and bars/cookies to be a part of the free will offering lunch. We are hoping this will be a really fun event and raise money and awareness for the Life Care Clinic. Any and all help would be very much appreciated. If there are any questions please feel free to contact any member of the Mission Board.

The LWML will have an ongoing mission project for the Baby Bundles which are given to the Life Care Clinic. Currently we are not asking for donations of items. This is just a reminder that you might keep in mind if you should happen to be out and about and run across any of these items in newborn sizes: receiving blankets, onesies, sleepers, diapers, booties/socks, caps. Thank you for your very generous giving in recent weeks. If you have a question or concern please feel free to talk with Carla Roghair or Maggie Dory.
