“An Enlarged Heart”

Rev. Nabil S. Nour

Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Armour SD. and Great Plains Region (Fifth Vice-President) of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Nabil Subhi Nour, 52, is a naturalized U.S. citizen; however, He grew up in Nazareth, Israel. His father stills resides in Haifa, about 20 miles south of Nazareth or 65 miles North of Tel-Aviv. He is a Palestinian by Nationality, and came to the U.S. at the age of 16 with no English skills. Pastor Nour now speaks English along with Arabic and Hebrew. He is a graduate of Huron College (now Huron University) 1979 with a B. S. degree in criminology and sociology, with minors in psychology and gerontology.

He is married to Jean Marie Miedema of Hitchcock, S.D. They have three sons, Tony, David, and Michael. After converting to Lutheranism, he was encouraged to consider the pastoral office by his pastor and congregation members. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. in 1994 with a Master of Divinity Degree. He is enrolled at the same Seminary for the Doctoral of Ministry Program in the department of Homiletics and also writing a Bible Study for CPH on the book of Ruth.

Pastor Nour travels and lectures often on how to live the Christian life in a postmodern times; How to Witness to Muslims; and many other topics.
