Building Healthy Families: Attention Parents! As you watch the Super Bowl today, each time you see Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers throw a pass, be reminded of how important your marriage relationship and your faith is to your children. About his own family and faith, Rodgers says, “I grew up knowing what a stable relationship was by my parents’ example and how it centered on Christ. When our family had its ups and downs, I knew my parents relied on God for everything and He always got us through those rough spots.” Will your kids be able to say the same thing about you when they are grown? Life Thoughts for the Church Year. Salt does little good if left in the shaker. Jesus charges His followers to be the “salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13) not “salt of the pews.” It is good to gather with our fellow “grains of salt.” That’s where we renew our “saltiness.” But we cannot influence the world from our pews. This world desperately needs our influence to preserve truth, morality, and human worth. This world desperately needs our influence to point them to the source of truth, morality, and human worth—Jesus Christ, Son of God.

Life Together
