Card Shower/Open House:
May Carlisle will be turning 100 on January 5. A card shower will be held in honor of her birthday. Cards may be sent to her at 705 N. Oak in Creston. There will also be an open house held in her honor on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall.
IMPORTANT SUNDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE INFORMATION
Beginning next Sunday, January 8, 2017
At the December 7th elder's meeting it was decided to begin a Sunday service schedule change beginning Sunday, January 8, 2017. This will be a trial run through the end of May. A decision will be made by the voter's assembly at the April voter's meeting whether to keep the new schedule or whether to go back to the old schedule.
The schedule will be as follows:
8:00 a.m. Bible Study and Sunday School in Creston
9:00 a.m. Divine Service in Creston
10:45 a.m. Divine Service in Mt. Ayr
There will still be fellowship time after the Divine Service in Creston.
Christian Care Fund: The balance in the Christian Care Fund is $2135.88.
Meeting time change: Due to the confirmation class not meeting on Wednesday, January 4, the elders’ meeting will begin 6:30 p.m. on January 4. In February it will go back to the 7:30 p.m. time schedule.
MISSIONS
A diaper drive will begin on January 1, 2017 and continue through the whole month. This drive is to help out the Life Care Clinic here in Creston. Diapers that are needed are Huggies, Pampers & Luvs in sizes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, but any brand will be appreciated. The most requested diaper size is 3. All diapers can be dropped off at the Clinic or brought to church and put in a receiving blanket lined basket in the narthex.
The Creston Clinic hours are: Monday 10-2; Tuesday & Thursday 1-7. The address is: 1109 S. Sumner, Creston, IA 50801. 641-782-2150.
If you have questions you can talk to Hannah Shady or any member of the Mission Board. Hannah will be speaking at Trinity Creston on Sunday, January 15, when the Sanctity for Life Sunday will be observed. She will explain all about the Life Care Clinic.
