Building Healthy Families: Sixty-four percent of women who have had an abortion “felt pressured by others” to abort their child (Medical Science Monitor, 2004). What if, instead of feeling pressured to abort, they felt the support and comfort of others to consider placing their child into an adoptive couple’s arms? One of the key goals of LFS is to provide comprehensive pregnancy counseling services to any woman who may need it. If you know of someone in this situation, give them our information and encourage them to call. Lutheran Family Service of Iowa (515) 251-4900.

Please give to the Christian Care fund for Tornado Relief. Use the envelopes on the narthex table (Thanksgiving, or Designated funds).

Caring for Your Neighbor: In the aftermath of the Tornado we have extended "Caring for Your Neighbor" to every Sunday for the next couple of months. Please bring your non-perishable items and place them in the "shopping cart" boxes in the narthex.

Life Quote: May 6 “We often address the life issues based on the Fifth Commandment’s prohibition of murder or on the First Article and God’s creation of life. But the Second Article raises the value of my life and the reasons I should value other lives to an incomprehensible level. Mistreat human life and you mistreat something very special to Jesus Christ. He paid for it. Mistreat life and you mistreat Jesus. He owns it.” Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb, executive director of Lutherans For Life – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org

Trinity has received a grant from LCMS World Relief and Human Care. The Christian Care Committee and the Mission Board will be distributing the funds as indicated in the Grant. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
